Goals and Objectives
The CHSR Fellowship program is designed to achieve four major aims:
- To identify and recruit health professionals committed to a career in children’s health services research and support their professional development
- To provide a structured mentoring program led by a primary research mentor and advisory committee and linked to an explicit timeline and benchmarks
- To facilitate the preparation, submission, and successful attainment of individual post-doctoral fellowships and/or career awards (K awards) for each trainee
- To foster an interdisciplinary research training program of physicians and other health professionals committed to the care of children
Eligibility
Pediatricians or other health professionals interested in children’s health are eligible for this program if they are: committed to a generalist career, a US citizen or permanent resident, and interested in a career consistent with the program goals and priorities
