Riley Hospital for Children is the only comprehensive children's hospital in Indiana providing sub-specialty care for patients, medical education for clinicians and state-of-the-art research advancements. Riley has more than 245,000 inpatient and outpatient pediatric visits annually. It is home to an internationally ranked ECMO program in the state's most comprehensive neonatal units, the world's largest pediatric sleep disorders center, one of the nation's largest autism treatment centers and has one of the nation's largest pediatric residency programs.
In 2010, Riley Hospital opened the new Simon Family Tower, a $475 million expansion providing private rooms for 300 beds, a state-of-the art Operating Room and Cardiac Catheterization Lab, expanded Emergency Department, Burn Unit and Cancer Center. In 2011, ten specialty programs at Riley were ranked among the top children's hospitals nationwide by US News & World Report 2011-2012 edition of American's Best Children's Hospitals. Riley is connected to the nationally acclaimed Wells Center for Pediatric Research, which has developed new cures and therapies for childhood diseases since 1991.
Riley Heart Center includes:
- 16 pediatric cardiac intensive care bed
- 16 pediatric cardiac stepdown unit
- Two advanced catheterization labs
- Full suite of diagnostic technology, including echocardiogram, fetal echocardiogram, cardiac MRI, and cardiopulmonary exercise test.
Our Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care faculty consists of a pediatric cardiac intensivists, pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, neonatologists, PICU fellows, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, pharmacologists, nutritionists, and cardiac ICU nurses.
