Dr. Sokol is a clinical neonatologist with particular interests in the treatment of advanced respiratory failure. His academic pursuits include promoting evidence-based practice and the design/development of clinical trials. He is an alternate principle investigator for the Neonatal Research Network and has served on several executive committees developing clinical trials evaluating inhaled nitric oxide therapy. Dr. Sokol remains active in community neonatal practice/outreach at IU Health North, IU Health West and St. Francis Hospitals.
