Dr. Lien is an attending physician at the Methodist Hospital Newborn ICU and the Riley Newborn ICU. her primary interest is in the clinical care of sick newborns, and in the education of medical students, residents and fellows, both at the bedside and in the classroom. Dr. Lien studied the effects of intrauterine exposure to hyperglycemia on endothelial progenitor cells in infants of diabetic mothers when compared to controls.
