Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship
Facilities and Resources
The success of any fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine hinges on the quality of clinical experiences it provides its trainees. Fellows in the IU program will benefit from clinical training across a diverse spectrum of facilities and learning environments.
The base of clinical training is Riley Hospital for Children, a 350-bed tertiary care academic referral center. Riley Hospital for Children is Indiana’s only comprehensive children’s hospital, and has been named as one of the top Children’s Hospitals in the country by Child Magazine and US News & World Report.
Additional clinical experience will be available at two other facilities. IU Health North Hospital and IU Health West Hospital provide our fellows with a community feel to their learning experience. Both sites provide an excellent mix of “bread-and-butter” pediatric inpatient acute care issues. IU Health West also allows trainees the opportunity to gain valuable newborn delivery experience and develop skills in newborn care.
