Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship

Research

Scholarly activity is expected and encouraged during the fellowship. For those interested in formal research training, we work closely with the Child Health Services Research division in the department of pediatrics, and have an extended 3 year fellowship track for those looking for careers in research. During the two-year fellowship, the fellow will receive formal training in the principles of evidence-based medicine, and core concepts of utilizing research to expand the quality of care provided to patients. The fellow will be expected to conceive, develop, and complete a scholarly project during the course of their training. The project may be created in any area of fellow interest, with its ultimate goal being a contribution to the growing field of pediatric hospital medicine. The project will serve to expand the skills, enrich the training experience, and enhance the career of the new pediatric hospitalist.
