Adult and pediatric HIV care, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, HIV prevention.
A Louisiana native, Dr. Weaver grew up in Ponchatoula, where the strawberries are the sweetest anywhere. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University before heading to the big city of New Orleans for medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. After graduation in 2002, Dr. Weaver ventured to the far north for Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Indiana University, followed by an Infectious Diseases fellowship, and then joined the faculty of IU School of Medicine. Her research and clinical interests have included human papillomavirus, sexually transmitted infections, and adult and pediatric HIV care. She serves as Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic at Eskenazi Health and Section Chief of Infectious Diseases at Eskenazi Hospital. Dr. Weaver was honored with the 2015 Department of Medicine Outstanding Young Clinician Award. Outside of work, she enjoys live music, good food, reading for pleasure, boxing, barre, and hiking.
