Our team of dedicated faculty is focused on providing you with the training, experience, and skills to confidently pursue the next steps in your career.
Our Med-Peds Residency program is based at five hospitals, four of which are adjacent to each other on the IU School of Medicine campus, and the 5th, Methodist Hospital, is within a mile and connected by monorail. These hospitals serve a wide variety of populations and include Riley Hospital for Children, The Richard Roudebush Veterans Administration Hospital, Eskenazi Hospital, University Hospital and Methodist Hospital. They serve as a referral center for a population of 6.4 million people. Medical informatics systems are linked between all facilities
Each year, the Med-Peds residency program accepts 12-14 interns. Half of each class begins their training in medicine, the other half in pediatrics, with each group rotating every four to five blocks.
The IUSM campus is located in downtown Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana. The campus includes the National Institute for Fitness and Sport, home of multiple Olympic trials and training. Downtown Indianapolis is a dynamic and energetic city center with extensive bike paths, greenbelt, river and canal walk integrated into the IUSM campus. It is a family friendly city, with a reputation as one of the most livable cities in the U.S.
