Pediatric Transport

LIFELINE NICU Neonatal Transports 539
NNP/Neonatal Transports 375 (70%)

LIFELINE Critical Care Transport is the largest patient transport program in Indiana with a medical and operational staff of nearly 100 employees. It is the only full-service transport program in Indiana capable of providing helicopter, fixed wing, and ground ambulance service for all patients.

Currently LIFELINE has 4 helicopters (5th helicopter to be added in July, 2010), 3 ambulances, and 1 fixed wing aircraft. Vehicles are strategically positioned in Indiana to ensure rapid availability for transport of patients at all times.

Three medical teams are available to transport patients requiring inter-hospital transports:

  • Adult RN/EMT - P
  • 2 Peds/Neo specialty team configurations:
    • RN/RRT/EMT - Peds/Neo
    • NNP/RN/RRT/EMT - Peds/Neo

Critically ill newborns are stabilized and transported via LIFELINE services from hospitals throughout Indiana.
