The vision of the Riley North NICU and IU Health North Medical Center combines a seamless continuum of care, and a blending of community-based and academic services in which the providers grow in their knowledge and expertise. A team approach incorporating family centered care is used. Indiana University School of Medicine neonatologists staff the level 3B NICU. Our patients include ELBW infants. Respiratory management may incorporate high frequency oscillating ventilator support, high frequency jet ventilator support, and inhaled nitric oxide support. At Riley North we have full access to pediatric subspecialty support and pediatric radiology on site.
