The IU Health University Hospital Special Care Nursery (SCN) is a level 2+ nursery. The staff of the SCN also provides coverage for delivery service at IU Health University Hospital which is primarily high-risk deliveries. Medical coverage includes neonatologists, pediatricians and neonatal nurse practitioners. The focus of the SCN is family-centered, developmentally appropriate care, helping families prepare to care for their infants at home.
