Jean P. Molleston, M.D. Professor of Clinical Pediatrics
Section Director, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition
Dr. Molleston has directed the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition since 2005. This Section of the Department of Pediatrics includes 12 attending physicians, 5 fellows, and 1 nurse practitioner. Dr. Molleston is a pediatric hepatologist (CAQ from the Board of Pediatrics) and transplant physician.
Her clinical interests include fatty liver (NASH), cholestatic liver disease, metabolic liver disease, CF-related liver disease and viral hepatitis in addition to general gastroenterology. Dr. Molleston has a long interest in medical education and has received multiple teaching awards. She was previously an associate residency program director and has conducted many faculty development programs in the Department of Pediatrics. She has been instrumental in the development of reading materials for parents of children with GI illnesses.
