Dr Knoderer specializes in the clinical care of children and adolescents with all types of cancer and blood disorders.
Dr Knoderer enjoys caring for patients with all cancer and blood disorders. She has special interest in family involvement in medical decision-making, chemotherapy safety, and training future hematologist-oncologists.
Dr Knoderer is a lifelong resident of the Indianapolis area. Her undergraduate training was at Butler University followed by medical school at Indiana University. Dr Knoderer completed her pediatric residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children. She also has a Master’s degree in Clinical Research from IU. Dr Knoderer began her academic career as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at IU and Riley Hospital in 2007. She has also held academic appointments in Clinical Pharmacology at IU and Butler. She is board certified in pediatric hematology-oncology.
She is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. Dr Knoderer has published several research articles and her work has been featured on the Sound Medicine radio broadcast. She enjoys caring for patients will all types of cancer and blood disorders. She has special interest in patient/family involvement in medical decision-making, chemotherapy safety, and training future pediatric hematologist-oncologists.
Dr Knoderer has a daughter and a son with whom she enjoys spending her free time. She also enjoys travel, cycling and cheering on the Butler Bulldogs.
