Areas of Interest

Rheumatologic diseases that persist into adulthood; helping young adults develop communication and self advocacy skills to navigate the adult health care system; pediatric rheumatologic conditions tat rarely present in adulthood, like the auto-inflammatory diseases.


Dr. Blakley completed training in Internal Medicine and Pediatris at IU School of Medicine, then served in the US Navy. Following his military commitment, he began a combined fellowship in both adult and pediatric rheumatology, and how to improve outcomes in this critical phase in development. Dr. Blakley joined the faculty in 2012 and has been a strong clinician and educator on our faculty.
