Training and Fellowship

Riley Rheumatology offers a strong, ACGME-accredited post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology. As the only pediatric rheumatology service in the state of Indiana, we provide consultation to all the state’s physicians, evaluating a breadth of childhood rheumatic disease that is outstanding. The fellowship experience offers extensive clinical training, and opportunities for both clinical and basic research for the next generation of pediatric rheumatology subspecialists. Our team of physicians and nurses participate in most major clinical trials in the field, and we collaborate with other top institutions for multi-center studies of the mechanisms underlying rare childhood inflammatory diseases. Fellows are encouraged to participate in the M.S. program in Clinical Research, or to earn a Master’s in Public Health degree while fellows here. Our fellowship is usually a 3 year program, but a 4-year program in conjunction with rheumatology in the Department of Internal Medicine is also an option. There are options for research in Clinical Pharmacology as well. For more information: Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship.
